Esposito is a name not known by any British people, as he has never cropped up much on the European scene.
He is an Italian striker who currently is playing his club football for Basel, in the Swiss Super League. He is on loan from his parent club, Inter Milan. After only playing 6 league games this season for the Swiss giants, he has already scored 4 goals, a very impressive early season record for the 19 year old. He made his Serie A and senior debut in 2019, at the tender age of 16, which made him become the youngest player to play for Inter Milan in Serie A. He also has a senior goal for his parent club, which came later in 2019. He is touted to be one of the potential future players for the Italian national team, having come through all of the youth national teams already, but still he is waiting for his senior call up, however I am sure it will come soon.
The things that make this man so dangerous as a striker is that he comes in at 6ft 2, which means he can be dominant in the air and hold off the defenders, which makes it very uncomfortable to play against this young man. I wouldn’t say he is an exceptionally fast striker but he seems to be a very well rounded one, who can bring his teammates into play. He recently scored an outrageous goal with the outside of his right foot. Having watched many highlights of this young man, he seems to have lots of confidence and is a well skilled player in all departments. His impressive start to life at Basel makes me believe that he will have a long and prosperous career at whichever clubs he ends up playing at.
