Still only 20 years old, this young Dutchman has already been snatched up for a decent transfer fee.
Most players get their big transfer at a later stage in their career, but Boadu got his last season after he has been impressing for AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch league. In his few seasons in the Dutch league he scored 32 goals in 64 games, which is an impressive strike rate for such a young striker. He signed for Monaco at the end of the 2020-2021 season for a record 17 million Euros, which is a hefty transfer fee for a young striker. They evidently see the potential to be a top striker in European football. He has yet to score in Ligue 1 for Monaco yet, but he has managed to score in the Europa league, in a win over PSV Eindhoven. He has also made 1 appearance for the Dutch national team, scoring on his debut in a big win over Estonia.
He is well known for being a very pacey and agile striker who runs defences ragged. The players I can compare him to are Jamie Vardy and Donyell Malen, his Dutch teammate. He is also very well known for being an old school striker who scores the majority of his goals in the box, hence why he is a poacher. Having watched him play a few times, he has also got a very good weak foot which is an important attribute for a top striker. I hope he can start scoring goals for Monaco and prove his very high potential, but I am sure he will go very far in his long career.
