Charles De Ketelaere - the Two-Footed Man

jxo855

Charles will soon become a household name, after already impressing for a few seasons at Club Brugge, his hometown team. His dream came true when he was given his first senior appearance in 2019 at the age of 18.

De Ketelaere plays most of his football as a striker but also has been known to play in the midfield, which makes his goal and assist tally even more impressive. In the Belgian Pro League, he has played 62 games for Club Brugge and scored 9 goals, not a bad rate playing from midfield some games. He is a big man, coming in at 6ft 4. But don’t let this height deceive you. Naturally he is good in the air and is usually used as a target man, but he is also very skilful and fast. A very mobile and enthusiastic player, his versatility positionally and technically is a massive bonus for whichever club he ends up at. He is well known for being able to play off both feet, which is sometimes a rarity in football.

He also was called up to play for the Belgian National team last year but has only made 2 appearances thus far. However one of these appearances was in the Nations League 3rd place playoff where he scored his first international goal against Italy, quite the moment for the young man. Having watched him play in that game and in a few UEFA Champions League games for Club Brugge, it is clear to see what he can bring to any team. Both his play on and off the ball makes him a very wanted man and I believe he will be sold for a very decent amount of money, where he will continue to develop to become a top class player.
